Sardinia is a small paradise to be discovered and Villasimius is a wonderful unspoiled corner full of beauty. Between beaches, cultural places and natural areas, here are some things you shouldn’t miss during your stay near Cagliari, in Villasimius.
Protected since 1998, the area extends from the coastal area of the islands of Serpentara and Cavoli to the territories of the municipality of Villasimius. Here you can observe the famous Sardinian granites – where our name comes from! – observe the expanses of posidonia and breathe that fresh and clean airthat smells of sea, myrtle and broom.
An ancient citythat paradoxically developed thanks to agriculture and pasturing, Villasimius has been home to ancient civilizations such as the Phoenicians and the Romans, but also much loved by pirates, attracted by the riches of the place. If you want to find out more about the history of these fascinating places you can visit the four exhibition halls: the Hall of Territories, the Hall of the Sanctuary of Cuccureddus, the Hall of the Sea and the Hall of the Wreck of the Isola dei Cavoli.
Here you will be spoiled for choice: you will find more than 20 golden beaches spread over 32 km of coastline, with crystal clear sea, fully equipped lidos or free beaches, which can be reached in a few minutes by car or by bicycle. It is difficult to say which are the most beautiful places, but certainly the closest are the Simius Beach, Capo Carbonara, the Is Straia Beach, Cala Giunco, Punta Molentis, Porto Sa Ruxi, Porto Giunco and the tourist port of Villasimius.
We are located in Via Guglielmo Marconi 42, just 30 metres from the square of the historic centre of Villasimius, in a sheltered and quiet street close to bars, restaurants and shops. The sea is just a few minutes away by car or bicycle, but there is also a convenient shuttlethat runs every day.
It is easy to get to us: the fastest and most convenient way is to go to Cagliari and from there take the scenic coastal road towards Villasimius, which is more beautiful, or the road towards Castiadas-Costa Rei, which is smoother. Alternatively, you can take advantage of the bus from Cagliari or book with us in advance our transfer service to and from the hotel

Great location in the middle of the city centre of Villasimius
Marco (the owner) has been fantastic. We booked 3 rooms and can say that we were not easy to please but Marco was very patient and always in a good mood which made our stay great.
The rooms are quite old fashioned but very very spacious and clean

This boutique hotel is charming and in a great location! I stayed in July with my teenage son, and he loved it too. The main center with restaurants and shopping is right at the end of the street and we even walked to the beach and back from here one night. The staff is super friendly and the owner is probably the nicest person you'll ever meet. Very helpful and caring. There is parking in back as well. The rooms are kept very clean and the balcony offered a stupendous view of Villasimius. The breakfast is delicious and the staff is attentive and helpful. I definitely recommend to anyone. I can't wait to go back!
Just back from Villasimius and was knocked out by my experience at I Graniti. I booked a single but it was actually a small double - beautifully furnished in a traditional modern Italian style. The bathroom with lovely tiling was particularly nice with an excellent shower. Everything in the room and the public spaces (including modern reception and breakfast area) was always spotlessly clean. A lot of thought had also gone into ensuring Covid-19 safety. A very 'typical Italian' buffet breakfast (cakes and cold meat etc) doesn't do the breakfast here justice as a desciption - it was excellent. The cream on the cake was Martina Z's response to a problem I had upon arrival which was my own fault and nothing to do with the booking or hotel. The patience and support Martina showed helped me through an awkward 24 hours at the start of my holiday - she even did some 'phoning around for me in Italian. All the staff I met were actually really friendly. The hotel is in a great location, just off the main 'drag' of this lovely little town and just down the hill from a lovely little osteria (Il Vecchio Faro where I had a couple of very good value meals based around local fare). The hotel is an easy walk to the beaches. I had a faultless five day stay here and would not hesitate to go back. Keeping in touch before and during my stay via WhatsApp also loaned a really personal, friendly touch to my experience with this hotel.
